10am PST in your time zone: Codex reset converter
Editorially updated · Independent guide
10am PST is 18:00 UTC; 10am PDT is 17:00 UTC. Pacific Time (PT) follows the local daylight saving rules for the date. If a reset announcement loosely says “PST”, check whether it means the fixed UTC−8 offset or the local time in Los Angeles.
Convert 10am to your time zone
Quick reference for 10am
| PST · UTC−8 | 18:00 UTC · 02:00 Beijing the following day. |
|---|---|
| PDT · UTC−7 | 17:00 UTC · 01:00 Beijing the following day. |
| PT · Los Angeles | Select the date to apply the appropriate offset. |
Example: October vs December
Under the 2026 US rules, Los Angeles uses daylight time on October 8 and standard time on December 8. Consequently, 10am local Pacific time converts to different UTC hours on those dates. If the announcement explicitly means fixed PST, use the PST option even on a daylight saving date.
What to do
- Choose the announcement’s calendar date, not just today’s date.
- Select literal PST, literal PDT or date-aware Pacific Time (Los Angeles).
- Compare the converted date as well as the hour in your location.
- Return to the original announcement to confirm its intended time zone; a conversion is not a reset confirmation.
Scope & exceptions
- The converter is for 10:00 in the selected source zone. It does not predict a reset.
- Your device supplies its local time zone; the displayed zone name helps you spot a device setting mismatch.
